MIND/BODY/SOUL CLASSES

All Mind, Body and Soul classes are held in the Mind, Body, and Soul Studio except for Saturday Qi Gong. Classes are free, unless otherwise noted, to members 13 and older. Limit 15 participants per class. Check the information board for the most up-to-date class schedule.

Yoga
You’ll learn techniques to help you experience a healthier, more flexible body and mind, free from everyday tension and anxiety. Registration is not required; go directly to class.

Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:30–10 a.m.; intermediate
Mondays, 11:15 a.m. –12:45 p.m.; beginners
Wednesdays, 10:30 –11:55 a.m.; beginners
Thursdays, 7–8:30 p.m.; beginners
Fridays, 11:15 a.m.–12:45 p.m.; all levels
Sundays, 7–8:30 p.m.; beginners


Power Yoga
Power Yoga is a unique combination of dynamic breathing, flowing movement and concentration. Power Yoga builds whole-body strength, unwinds tight joints and loosens muscles. Registration is not required; go directly to class.

Levels I and II: Students will learn and/or practice the flow of linked movements, fundamentals of posture, dynamic breathing and energy locks. Beginning students will start with easier postures. This class covers 75% of the primary series.

Tuesdays, 5:30–6:30 p.m.

Level III: You’ll refine your flow, postures, breath and energy locks. This is a faster-paced, more intense class that includes primary series, challenging variations and postures from the second series. The class is suitable for fit beginners.

Fridays, 5:30–7 p.m.

Turn Stress Into Vitality With Taoist Meditation

(18 and older; limit 25 participants)
Meditation is a series of techniques that calm and focus the mind. Practitioners find that meditation helps them relieve stress, concentrate better, increase energy and approach life with a better attitude. Meditation has also been clinically shown to lower blood pressure. LCP Instructor Dan Wolfson will help you turn stress into vitality through Taoist meditation techniques.

Sun Style Tai Chi for Arthritis

Kathy Yesko, Arthritis Foundation-certified Sun Style Tai Chi instructor, wants you to experience the many benefits of Tai Chi. Sun Style is softer and more gentle than our other Tai Chi classes, and is performed at a slower pace. This 45-minute class is for people with limited mobility due to arthritis and other chronic conditions. Please note: Members recovering from recent health challenges who have completed a physical therapy program, yet wish to continue exercising at a slower pace, may find this very beneficial.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2–2:45 p.m.

Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a slow, relaxed, comfortable way to become and stay physically fit. Attend this class to enjoy Tai Chi’s many benefits, including lower blood pressure and increased energy and wellbeing. Registration is not required; go directly to class.

Wednesdays, Noon–1 p.m.
Fridays, 9–10 a.m.
Saturdays, 9–10 a.m.


Qi Gong
Qi Gong is a Chinese martial art that is easier to perform than Tai Chi, but offers many of the same benefits. The gentle movements of Qi Gong are well suited for most people, regardless of physical condition. Registration is not required; go directly to class.
