LifeCenter Plus offers the best of the Pilates world!
Experience what celebrities and pro athletes use to get and stay in shape. The Pilates philosophy is all about training the mind and body to work together toward overall fitness. The beauty of Pilates is that once you understand the core of its philosophy, its principles can be carried over into other activities.
Pilates Mat classes incorporate poses similar to yoga, but instead of holding a static position, Pilates practitioners continuously move and flow as they work both the front and back of the body. Pilates Reformer classes, which incorporate unique exercise machines, are practiced either one-on-one or in small groups with a personal trainer.
In Pilates, you must engage your mind as much as your body. Of course, concentration is something you have to achieve on your own, but a personal trainer can help by providing imagery and tips on using your breath to focus your mind. Such gentle prods differentiate Pilates trainers from conventional personal training.
The benefits of Pilates movements and the Reformer are many. You’ll get a complete full-body workout in each one-hour class while achieving greater core strength, leaner muscles, increased body awareness and improved physiological response. Come in and discover what Pilates can do for you!
